The New Yorker Hotel exceeded our expectations. As we were staying for 1 week, the lady at reception ensured that we had a room with a really good view. We were given a corner room on the 35th floor with 2 windows, one looking onto the Hudson River and the other looking onto the Midtown Skyscrapers. To see the lights of the city at night from our room was spectacular. The room was clean, very comfortable and we had a large closet to store our suitcases and hang our clothes. The bathroom was a very generous size with a bath/shower. We had breakfast in the TickTock diner below the hotel which was reasonably priced and the food quality was very good. The location of the hotel is very convenient to navigate around New York. The Edge Observatory/Hudson Yards and Times Square are all within walking distance. We bought a 1 week metro card and discovered the city mostly by subway. There are subway stations just outside of the hotel. We would be very happy to stay here again. Thank you!

The New Yorker is a lovely art deco hotel with some interesting history. The staff were excellent and the room was great as a room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and a nice size for my partner and myself. There were plenty of pillows and the duvet was nice and warm. The bathroom had a bath with a shower, which had excellent pressure, but the temperature was not stable and would change frequently as we showered. There was a wardrobe and chest of drawers, which provided plenty of space for both our clothes. There was a safe, iron and ironing board. There was no kettle, tea or coffee making facilities. The room itself wasn't massive, but it wasn't hugely cramped either. The hotel had several eating places, and we used the Tick Tock Diner that was open 24/7, and we would highly recommend it. The hotel was right next to Penn Station and if you are happy to walk, not far from the Empire State Building and Macy's.

+ great location, very central, close to subway stations, easy to navigate throughout the city from there. The different restaurants/diners within the hotel offer good options to have a quick bite anytime of day/night. + room was clean, accurate to pictures, comfortable as expected including all mentioned furniture and amenities. Nice view. I booked a simple 1 queen-bed room, but I was given an upgraded two double-bed room instead. This was fine as I was travelling alone (however, if you are travelling as a couple and would rather sleep in the same bed, you may check with front desk upon check-in). + hotel is overall very good, nice Art Déco style. Fitness center is massive and very well equipped, not busy (just 2 ppl there when I was). I was on 19th fl. (on 40). 10 elevators divided in 2 groups of 5 for each half of the building, which means I never had to wait much to use them. + overall great value for money.

Everyone , please attention … We stayed in the hotel 5 nights . I’ll describe the experience with 6 words - the best hotel in New York ! First of all I would like to thank Afroza that take care of us and help us with all of our requests with a huge smile and warm welcome . Second , I would like to say that the room was amazing , big , beautiful and with all the things that we need . The house keeping was amazing and all the crew as well . I would like to thank Elijah as well who helped us with our check out request and made our honeymoon much better ! The location was amazing , you have metro(subway) station next to the hotel that calls 34St - Penn Station , That includes the next lines : A,C,E ; Those lines are the best line all over the city in my opinion … you can reach all the main sites : E line will takes you to World Trade Center / Airtrain to JFK for example . So long story short , amazing hotel .

Location is perfect. Got sweet-talked into upgrading when we arrived from lovely reception guy and room was spacious, comfortable, with extra bathroom, perfect for mother and adult daughter sharing. Being so close to Penn Station is a definite plus for travelling from either Newark or JFK. Having Tick Tock Diner on site is also a plus, after a day pounding the Manhattan streets (we averaged 12 miles walking each day) if our feet were too sore, we didn't have to go far to find food.
